The rudder pedal assembly is finished. Part of the reason for doing this early is that I am nervous of welding the bearings onto the fuselage longerons which have to be secure but mustn't be distorted or have excess penetration of the weld which could cause the pedals not to rotate freely. My intention is to assemble the fuselage sides and then locate the bearings and final weld them before the fuselage sides are joined together. In this way the bearings can be honed and the pedal assembly can be inserted before the firewall is joined and I'm guaranteed free movement.
