Tack welded the first fuselage side. Some of these joints are going to be difficult to final weld as the angles are so acute but it sort of looks like something to do with an aeroplane now. Made the flap pushrods. I'm using the option of the folded metal (0.071") ends for these because the commecial ones (AN481-4) are around $16 each and there are fourteen of them!. If I find I need some adjustment I will just cut off one end and use a AN490 threaded rod end and a AN486 threaded clevis fork. Started a debate on the Yahoo Tailwind forum about whether to final weld the side before assembling the fuselage or leaving it tacked and then final welding the complete fuselage. There are arguments on both sides - lets wait and see before deciding.
